When you think of Italy, it's easy to imagine yourself in the pricier destinations – the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Sicily, and so on.
However, there are parts of Italy that are more affordable yet still offer that luxurious 'boujee' feel that the country is known for. @thetravelmum suggests that if you're budget-conscious but still want a taste of luxury, Cinque Terra in Italy is the place to be.
She elaborated that "it's five towns on the north western coast of Italy". She also advised to look for cheap flights to Genoa airport as it has an easy "air link" to the train station.

From the train station, "you can easily get the train down the coast to the towns". She revealed that she stayed in a "place called Rapello", which helped her save a significant amount on the trip.
Despite being much cheaper, she described it as "the perfect base" because "it's got everything you're gonna need".
Rapello also has a train station, making it "cheap and easy to get down to the five towns" instead of staying in one of them which would be most costly.
She praised the towns as "beautiful" and "so picturesque" and judging by her stunning photos, she's not exaggerating.
She depicted them as the "perfect place to mooch around, have some drinks, and try some fantastic Italian food". She even mentioned the presence of beaches, which would be "perfect" for summer visits.
In the comments, a user expressed their appreciation: "Beautiful! Thanks for sharing the more 'less' travelled places on your page. Inspired".
Another commenter offered a word of caution: "Beautiful places to visit. You need to think about when you go. The towns are very popular with big crowds and packed trains at peak times."
An excited TikToker revealed their travel aspirations: "This has been on my list for ages!"
For those looking to explore Cinque Terre, the most straightforward route is flying from the UK to Italy, with nearby airports including Pisa International Airport, Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport, and Florence Airport.
Upon landing in Italy, visitors can continue their journey to Cinque Terre by train. The region's five picturesque villages are well-served by rail, with La Spezia and Levanto being the main railway stations in close proximity.
