The cheapest areas of Kent on average if you are looking to rent
With constant inflation rises, first time buyers can find it difficult to get an affordable mortgage. This is leaving people turning to the rent market for property.
But the cost of rent can vary greatly across the county. BLG Development Finance and Online Marketing Surgery have created their Rent Report, which helped rank areas in Kent based on their average rent price so far this year. This determines the best and worst areas to rent.
The figures have revealed that Dover has the cheapest rent price average so far this year with £857 per month. According to Zoopla, many properties are currently available to rent for around £800 and £850.

This includes a two-bedroom flat on Auden Way. The property, which has a "great sized main living area", is only within a short walk of Dover Priory railway station.
Another property worth mentioning is a one bedroom flat on the Gateway. It is available for £850 per month and offers a stunning sea view. On a clear day or night, residents can see the French coast.
On the other side, Sevenoaks had the highest rend with prices, with £1604 per month. It is no secret that Sevenoaks is among the most expensive towns to buy a house in Kent in terms of average property value.
Zoopla added new properties to its website which are located in Sevenoaks. A two-bedroom flat is currently available on London Road for £1600 per month.
Described as a modern build appartment, it is situated 100 metres from Sevenoaks Train Station. It features an open plan kitchen living room. It benefits from an allocated parking space and access to a communal garden.
