Check Out This Super-Hipster Portable Vinyl Player

With music on streaming services, books on tablets and newspapers on the internet, the modern world can seem an alienating place for those who enjoy their media in physical forms.

But as the booming vinyl industry proves, despite the advancements in technology, the death of the shelf isn’t quite upon us yet.

And, as this gadget shows, there are still products being made for those who like their tech to be a little retro – and very substantial.

The spectacularly over-the-top Rawman 3000, a portable vinyl player from the 1980s, by Rocket & Wink, is likely to send hipsters wild.

According to the Rocket & Wink site: "The Rawman 3000 produces such a big, rich sound, that it only can be compared to a very elaborate and expensive component stereo record player system.

“If the stilted language hadn’t given it away, we’re desperately sorry to say this is nothing more than a nostalgia-soaked concept design.

“The Rawman comes with featherweight stereo headphones, USB port, smartcard, antenna for Bluetooth connection and practical carrying strap. Furthermore an exclusive Hot-Line button which lets you carry-on a conversation or sing along over the music.”

The product is offered in three sizes (seven, 10 and 12-inch).

Expect to see hipsters lugging it and a crate of vinyl down East London streets very soon.
