With the departure of one couple on Friday, Love Island will move things on by bringing in two brand new singletons hoping to find love.

Yes, while we may have said goodbye to Hayley Hughes and Charlie Fredrick, tomorrow's (June 17) show will introduce us to two brand new bombshells.

Here's what you need to know about newcomers Ellie Brown and Zara McDermott.

Age: 20

Job: Business Development Manager

From: Newcastle

She going to bring the 'bants' to the villa.

"I'm a Geordie – us Northerners have a lot of banter. It's all been quite dramatic so far in the villa. I'll stand out because I can bring some light hearted, fun, energy. I'm not a hard person to get on with. I could talk to a piece of paper if it would speak back. I'm a cheeky Geordie with loads of energy."

What type of man is she looking for on the show?

"I'm in love with Alex! I absolutely love him. I don't have a type. My two ex-boyfriends are so polar opposite, it's unreal. One was muscly, tall. The other was not much taller than me and a bit older. I'm not looking for anything specific. If they make me happy, they're for me, and if they don't, they're not for me."

What's her biggest turn off? Well, Adam basically

"Arrogance, cockiness and bragging. If you've got to brag and boast about it, you probably haven't got it. If you have it and work hard for it, people will probably just know about it.

"Adam is a bit like that but when I think he realised that it was starting to hurt people, he pulled back. Who calls themselves a ten out of ten? No one is a ten out of ten. Except maybe Beyoncé. Don't go in there thinking you are the be all and end all."

But wait, she's also from Newcastle like Adam. Surely she doesn't actually know him?

"I do know Adam. And I've met his ex. Newcastle is very small so everyone knows everyone. We all speak. If I saw him in a nightclub I would say 'hello' but we've not been in the same friendship circle. I knew Alex Beattie from last year, I knew Sophie Gradon from series two."

Obviously, the show isn't all about love. What's her view on villa friendships?

"Friendships to me are just as important as relationships. I know it's not a friendship show, it's a love show. I'm nervous about how the girls will react. I would tread on toes within reason.

"Dani is definitely someone I'd like to be friends with – she seems like a motherly figure. I think Samira is great too; she needs to stay in there to find someone. Everyone is sympathetic to Alex but they don't think about the fact that Samira hasn't found anyone either."

Age: 21

Job: Government Advisor

From: Essex

She's serious AND can let her hair down

"I think my job is quite different. A lot of people are interested in what I do on a day-to-day basis. There are two sides to me – I can be quite serious but I'm also spontaneous, fun and energetic."

She's very good at reading people

"I'm intelligent, which means I'm quite good at reading people. I'm always analysing people."

She's torn between Adam and Alex

"I want to meet someone I can vibe and connect with. Someone who can keep me on my toes. I really like Adam, he's very attractive. In terms of longevity though, Alex has a lot of potential. But I need to get know him more though – I don't think we've seen how fun he can be. Maybe I can bring that out in him!"

She doesn't like cheapskates

"A guy who is too frugal and I wouldn't want someone stingy. I'm quite generous and I'm not like that. I have a serious side to me so if I was with someone who was also serious it would probably bring out the worst in me."

What about friendships – would she be willing to sacrifice them for love?

"It's every girl for themselves in there. But I don't think I'd do anything too incriminating, or anything against girl code. I don't want the girls in the villa to dislike me. I want to keep them on side, and be their friend."

Love Island continues tomorrow (June 17) at 9pm on ITV2. Love Island: Aftersun follows at 10pm.
