Cheeky lads leave Morrisons staff stunned as they drink fizz and relax on in-store garden furniture

These cheeky lads filmed themselves sipping fizz from display glasses as they relaxed on Morrisons' in-store furniture display - bragging they've been bombarded by women impressed by the stunt. Danny Cathe and Joey Baker had finished a tiring gym session when they spotted an outdoor table, chairs set under a gazebo in Morrisons' Blackpool shop as they nipped for a protein shake.

The 31-year-old says they sat down to relax and noticed a bottle of £9.99 sparkling white wine before looking at each other and cracking it open. Joey's footage shows Danny, who is tucking into school cake, pouring the booze into one of the display's glasses before they touch glasses and make a toast 'to Morrisons'.

Groundworker Danny admits they did get some 'funny looks' from 10pm shoppers, but workers didn't seem bothered as they were too busy. He says the pair paid for the items before leaving and then posted the videos on Facebook, where they've been seen more than 750,000 times.

The singleton boasts that since his stunt last month he's had '30 to 40' women get in touch with him on Facebook after the video went viral. Some users have even tagged their pals and suggested they do the same for a 'cheap night out'.

Danny, from Blackpool, Lancashire, said: "I got a protein shake then and a school cake but we needed a sit down because we were shattered after the gym. We saw these seats set up and had a sit down, then we looked to the side on the table and there was some sparkling wine.

"We looked at each other as if to say 'should we?' Then we just cracked it open and Joey filmed it. We finished about half a bottle. We got a few funny looks in the shop, but it's all tongue-in-cheek and the staff left us to it because I think they were too busy stocking the shelves.

"None of it was planned. It was just spur of the moment and really funny. I'm single you see and Joey's taken. I noticed after we uploaded it I must have got 30 to 40 friend requests, all from women. It's done me quite good."

The cheeky pair say they have been back to Morrisons since, but were disappointed to see the furniture display has been removed. Car salesman Joey, 27, posted: "Lovely day for it."

One commented: "Funny as. You should have told them to turn the music up."

A second said: "Cheap night out."

A third even tagged a mate and asked: "Fancy a walk to Morrisons?"

Morrisons declined to comment.
