Motorists are facing 'mad' levels of traffic in Chelmsford city centre as queues form on a number of busy roads on Saturday (November 16). The Essex city is experiencing slow traffic in a number of popular locations.

Google Maps is showing slow traffic on several major roads in the city, including Parkway/A1060, High Bridge Road/A1099, Victoria Road and Springfield Road. The busiest areas surround some of the city's most popular areas for shopping.

The delays will be affecting anyone trying to drive to the Tesco or Iceland supermarkets on Springfield Road. It will also be impacting anyone trying to access the High Chelmer Car Park. Delays to Victoria Road will impact people trying to travel in the direction of Riverside Retail Park and Leisure Centre and the railway station.
