Chelsea are set for more upheaval with president of business Tom Glick to leave the club after just 10 months.

The Blues have not commented on Glick’s position, but Telegraph Sport understands the former Manchester City executive has handed in his resignation.

News of Glick’s departure comes after it emerged that Chris Jurasek is set to take over as Chelsea’s new chief executive officer and that he would have worked above Glick.

Jurasek is an operating officer for Chelsea co-owners Clearlake Capital and will be in charge of the commercial side of the club’s business.

Earlier this month, Glick was at Wembley to watch Chelsea’s women win the FA Cup by beating Manchester United.

In their first year of ownership, Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have sacked two head coaches and were also forced to dismiss Damian Willoughby, who had been hired as a commercial director by Glick.

Willoughby was found to have sent inappropriate messages to businesswoman Catalina Kim, who also made a complaint about Glick’s alleged handling of the situation.

It has also been a disastrous year on the pitch for Chelsea’s owners, with the club stuck in the bottom half of the table and on course to record their worst-ever Premier League points total.

Chelsea are preparing to announce Mauricio Pochettino as the club’s new permanent head coach, to start work in the summer, after the Argentine agreed terms to succeed Graham Potter.

And there will be many more changes of personnel over the summer, with the club planning a summer clear-out of a number of players in a bid to cut down the squad.

Chelsea have confirmed that defender Benoit Badiashile will be out for an ‘extended period’ after suffering a hamstring injury in training, but the club have not given up hope that he could return for the start of next season.
