Chelsea have started life under new manager Maurizio Sarri as another fresh chapter begins at Stamford Bridge.

The Italian has already made his mark on the squad, bringing Jorginho with him from Napoli much to the chagrin of Manchester City.

Sarri was unveiled to the media on Wednesday, July 18, and pressed home his philosophy and how he plans to implement his ideas on his new squad.

The new manager's first game in charge will be in the southern hemisphere as the Blues take on Perth Glory nine days after his appointment.

Five days later and Chelsea will be back in Europe as they take on Inter Milan in the International Champions Cup in Nice. Arsenal are the opponents, again in the ICC, on August 1 as Sarri gets a look at one of his expected rivals in the Premier League for the first time.

The traditional season curtain-raiser follows four days later as the Blues take on City. Pep Guardiola was a vocal fan of Sarri's Napoli team last year.

Chelsea's final pre-season outing is at home to Lyon, Sarri's first at Stamford Bridge, and comes four days before their opening Premier League fixture of a trip to Huddersfield Town.
