Chelsea Flower Show tickets 2019 and 2020: Dates, weather, schedule and everything you need to know

If stunning waterfalls and ethereal flowers in bloom are your thing, look no further than the Chelsea Flower Show, which makes its triumphant return this week.

The prestigious gardening show will be held at the Royal Hospital in Chelsea, where it has taken place since 1912.

At this year’s event, the Duchess of Cambridge will be debuting her very own garden design, which is expected to be a big talking point during the five-day long event.

As the Chelsea Flower Show kicks off today, here’s everything you need to know:

When is the Chelsea Flower Show?

The Chelsea Flower Show starts on 21 May and continues until 25 May.

Despite being open to the general public, admission to some parts of the event are kept pretty exclusive.

Tuesday and Wednesday for RHS members only and the Royal Family will attend on Monday 20.

Can I still buy tickets?

Tickets for this year’s show are extremely limited. Check on the RHS website to find out more about ticket availability.

How to get there

The Chelsea Flower Show is easily accessible by tube, bus and more.

Tube and bus

The nearest station to Royal Hospital Chelsea is Sloane Square, on the Circle and District line. Alternatively, for those guests coming into London via Victoria, you can walk to the hospital from the station in 30 minutes.

Buses 137 (Marble Arch), 360 (Royal Albert Hall), 44 (Tooting Station) and 452 (Vauxhall) all stop near Royal Hospital Chelsea.

Rail

London Victoria is the nearest station to show, which is about a 20 minute walk away.

Shuttle Bus Service

A bus service will be provided by Transport for London to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Find out more about routes here.

Cycling

You can find cycle rack to keep your bike at Burton’s Court Park, opposite the London entrance.

Parking

The nearest available parking is at Battersea car park, which is located about a 20 minute walk away from the show. Parking can be pre-booked with your tickets.

What will the weather be like?

Luckily, the sun will (partly) be shining down on the Chelsea Flower Show this week.

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday will be warm but cloudy, with the clearest skies expected on Tuesday.

Light showers are forecast for Friday, so make sure you bring an umbrella with you!

You can catch all the highlights from the first day of the Chelsea Flower Show today at 6pm on BBC Two.

Coverage will then air every other day until 26 May, showing the best bits and winners from each day.

Every day this week on BBC Two at 3:45pm, you can watch the first show and either 7:30pm, 8:00pm or 8:30pm to catch the second instalment of the day.

Can I buy tickets for the Chelsea Flower Show in 2020?

Tickets for the Chelsea Flower Show in 2020 aren’t available to purchase yet, but we do know that next year’s event will commence on 19 May and end on the 23 May.
