Newcastle United winger Kenedy will not face any retrospective action after he kicked out at Cardiff's Víctor Camarasa in the 0-0 draw at St James' Park on Saturday.

Kenedy had a game to forget, as he failed to complete a single pass in the first half and could have seen red for an ugly reaction to a tackle from Camarasa.

And if his day couldn't get any worse, the Chelsea loanee stepped up to see his 95th minute penalty saved by Neil Etheridge.

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock said: "I never even saw that Kenedy should have been sent off in the first half. I was like the referee, I looked away and missed it. The fourth official saw it to give the foul but he didn't know how bad it was either."

The Brazilian was signed on a season-long loan this summer from the blues after a promising spell in the north-east in the second half of last season.

The attacker scored two goals as the magpies enjoyed a fantastic finish to the season, finishing 10th in the Premier League.
