Chelsea's trip to the Far East has ended in defeat in the final of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The European champions were beaten 1-0 by the South American club champions Corinthians of Brazil.
Paolo Guerrero got the only goal of the final in Yokohama in the second half.
Chelsea also finished with ten men after Gary Cahill was shown a straight red card in the final minute for an off the ball clash with Emerson.
The victory secured Corinthians their second intercontinental title - they won the FIFA Club World Championship in 2000.
Chelsea return home with a heavy programme of fixtures ahead having missed two domestic matches fixtures to play at the tournament in Japan.
