Chelsea could have only one recognised striker to choose from for the next five matches after Michy Batshuayi suffered a foot injury while away with Belgium.

Batshuayi returned early from international duty and is believed to have not trained all week.

Standard Sport understands that he could be ruled out for up to two weeks and while that isn't a significant length of time, he is still unavailable at a busy time of the season.

Starting with the trip to West Brom on Saturday, Chelsea have five matches over the next fortnight, including trips to Qarabag and Liverpool in the Champions League and Premier League respectively next week.

Club record buy Alvaro Morata, who has scored eight goals, is first choice anyway, but has already admitted he's struggling with playing three times a week and suffered a hamstring injury last month.

Coach Antonio Conte also regards Eden Hazard as a forward player, and may turn to Willian and Pedro to help share the workload.

But even though Batshuayi has often been used from the bench, the Italian will still hope he can return to fitness before their home League game against Newcastle on December 2.
