Bayern cling on

Well that was far better than your average pre-season friendly, with both teams really going for it. Ribery, Sanches and Muller were outstanding for Bayern, with Morata showing some nice touches when he came on for Chelsea.

Next up for Antonio Conte's side is Saturday's match against Inter in Singapore, which is their last warm-up match before the Community Shield against Arsenal the following Sunday.

2:30PM

Full-time

The final whistle goes, and it finishes Chelsea 2 Bayern 3. What a game!

2:29PM

90+3 min

Morata is denied a free-kick after going down under minimal contact from Hummels.

2:27PM

90+2 min

Felix Gotze (Mario's younger brother) has impressed since coming on at right-back, and he denies Moses again to snuff out another Chelsea attack.

2:26PM

90 min

Four minutes of time to be added on...

Ribery
Ribery

2:24PM

88 min

Morata won that corner incidentally and then caused a bit of havoc at the near post as Fabregas's delivery came into the box. So he's already paid back a large chunk of that transfer fee!

2:21PM

GOAL! Chelsea 2-3 Bayern (Batshuayi 86')

Chelsea right back in this, as Fabregas' corner evades everyone and Batshuayi is left with the easiets of tap-ins from a few yards out. Game most definitely on now.

2:18PM

82 min

Big reception for Muller and Ribery as they're replaced by Dorsch and Wintzheimer.

Chelsea create a chance almost straight away after, as Tomori meets Moses' cross, but puts his header a few feet wide.

2:14PM

79 min

Moses has switched to the left, with Tomori coming on down the right.

Morata

2:13PM

78 min

Sanches has a sighter from 25 yards, but it dribbles harmlessly wide.

2:12PM

77 min

Chelsea subs: Tomori and Eduardo replace Alonso and Courtois.

Batshuayi meanwhile puts a shot well wide from about 30 yards out. The Belgian has struggled to impose himself on this game.

2:10PM

75 min

It's a well-timed drinks break after a knackered looking Alonso gets skinned for about the eighth time this half by the quicksilver Coman.

2:08PM

74 min

Now it's Luiz who so nearly finds a goal from Chelsea. The Brazilian bursts forward and sees his left-footed strike from the edge of the box deflect off Martinez onto the post.

Chelsea
Chelsea

2:08PM

73 min

Half-chance for Chelsea, as Willian lashes one over the bar after a clever lay-off from Batshuayi.

2:07PM

72 min

Morata does really well to hold the ball up in the middle of the pitch and then find Alonso with a square pass. Alonso is eventually flagged for offside after a gorgeous reverse pass from Fabregas.

2:06PM

70 min

And again Rodriguez is denied! Ribery does absolutely brilliantly to beat three defenders with sensational close control and lay off a pass for Rodriguez, but the Colombian's low strike from around the penalty spot is saved by Courtois.

Unreal again from Ribery, who has been a cut above tonight.

2:03PM

68 min

It just won't go in for Rodriguez. This time he drags an effort wide from the edge of the box after good work by Coman and Ribery.

2:02PM

67 min

Double change for Bayern: Pantovic and Gotze on for Tolisso and Rafinha.

Bayern
Bayern

2:00PM

65 min

Morata's first touch is to win a throw down the Chelsea right. It's all happening here!

1:59PM

63 min

What a move that is from Bayern, as Coman and Rafinha link up beautifully down the right. The ball is eventually worked to Sanches, who hits his shots way over from the edge of the box.

And now it's the moment you've all been waiting for...Morata is on for Chelsea. He replaces Boga, as Luiz comes on for Christensen.

1:57PM

61 min

For the third time in the match Rodriguez just fails to find the back of the net. Ribery goes on a devastating run through the heart of the Chelsea defence and finds James scampering into the area. The Colombian though takes too long running round the ball in order to hit it with his left, and Cahill makes the block.

1:53PM

57 min

So close to being 4-1! Friedl stands up a lovely cross that Rodriguez meets with a header that flies inches wide.

1:52PM

56 min

Renato Sanches has been oustanding for Bayern today, bossing the central midfield area with his power and quick feet. Coman meanwhile has looked very dangerous since coming on at half-time, and he torments Alonso before his cross is volleyed well wide by Ribery.

1:49PM

54 min

Christensen does well to stay in front of the pacy Coman and calmly knock a pass back to his keeper. Courtois though ends up slicing the ball out of play, which rather sums up Chelsea's day.

1:47PM

52 min

Great tracking back and tackle by Rodriguez (do we call him James?) on Willian as the Brazilian looked to break into the box down the Chelsea right.

Chelsea
Chelsea

1:45PM

50 min

Conte meanwhile looks to have told his wing-backs to stay a lot closer to the back three. In the first half, Moses and Alonso were bombing forward and leaving Christensen and co hopelessly exposed.

1:43PM

48 min

Muller looks to have moved more centrally, with Coman stationed out wide on the right.

1:41PM

46 min

We're back under way...

1:40PM

Half-time changes

Foir Bayern, Coman replaces Lewandowski and Fruchtl replaces Starke in goal.

Chelsea make no subs at half-time.

1:30PM

First-half summary

After being torn apart by Bayern in the first 27 minutes, Chelsea were rejuvenated by the water break on the half-hour mark. Since then they've played with a lot more purpose and have unsettled their opponents, who wehad been cruising until then.

Of the youngsters looking to impress Boga has been impressive down the Chelsea left, but Christensen has struggled at the heart of the back three.

For Bayern, Ribery has been outstanding, with Muller and Rodriguez also looking very dangerous.

Half-time

The half-time whistle blows. What a 45 minutes that was.

1:25PM

GOAL! Chelsea 1-3 Bayern (Alonso 45')

Chelsea get the goal their play in the last 15 minutes or so merits. Willian steps over Kante's pass to allow the ball to roll to the right wing-back Moses. His low pull-back from close to the byline is met by the onrushing left wing-back Alonso who absolutely thumps the ball into the top corner.

Game on?

1:23PM

45+1 min

I've just let out an audible 'aah' at a lovely bit of skill and then weighted pass from Rodriguez to Rafinha down the Bayern right. Rafinha's cross is blocked in the end, but that was sensational build-up play from Rodriguez. He's looked good today, a lot more confident than towards the end of his spell at Real.

1:21PM

45 min

Three minutes of time added on at the end of the first half.

Fabregas
Fabregas

1:20PM

44 min

A third chance in as many minutes for Chelsea. Fabregas floats in an outswinging corner that Cahill meets with a header that is just wide of a stationary Starke's left-hand post.

1:19PM

43 min

Now it's Batshuayi's turn to worry Bayern, as he fires in a low shot left-footed from about 20 yards that Starke tips just wide of the post.

1:17PM

42 min

Alonso has a go with his right foot from the edge of the box, but he fires it well wide. Much better from Chelsea the last five minutes or so.

1:13PM

38 min

Boga is starting to get on the ball a bit more, and he's trying to make things happen. Sanches brings him down for a free-kick about 35 yards out, which Willian hits into the wall.

Michy Batshuayi
Michy Batshuayi

1:11PM

36 min

Cahill lucky to escape a yellow card for a pretty cynical body-check on Tolisso. Think in a competitive match that would have been a booking.

1:09PM

33 min

Chelsea create their best chance of the match by a distance. Fabregas lofts a through ball for Boga, who arrives with a dart from left to right, but the youngster's hooked effort is straight at the Bayern keeper Starke.

1:06PM

30 min

Moses picks up a yellow card for a pretty hefty tackle on Friedl.

We'll now have a short water break to keep the players hydrated.

1:03PM

GOAL! Chelsea 0-3 Bayern (Muller 27')

What a goal that is. Muller breaks with the ball from around the half-way line, and with the Chelsea defenders retreating and retreating, Muller thinks "sod it, I'll shoot" and buries one into the bottom corner from about 30 yards.

I think that's the first time I've seen Muller score from outside the box!

Muller

1:02PM

26 min

Ribery again causes havoc and so nearly finds Rodriguez with a square pass inside the box. This time it's a retreating Kante who makes the block.

1:01PM

25 min

At last an attack for Chelsea. Willian works a yard for a shot about 25 yards out, but he drags his effort and it's comfortably wide.

12:59PM

22 min

Bayern look dangerous whenever they go forward, and Ribery looks particularly dangerous. He breaks into the area again, but Fabregas manages to stick out a leg and make the tackle.

12:54PM

18 min

Another good chance for Bayern. Ribery picks out Rodriguez with a sumptuous chipped pass to the back post, but the Colombian cutting onto his left foot puts his volley over the bar.

Chelsea
Chelsea

12:51PM

15 min

Blimey this is like watching Arsenal try and take on Bayern in a Champions League tie. Men against boys stuff. The Bayern high press befuddles the Chelsea back three again, and Lewandowski nearly profits before being dispossessed by Kante.

12:48PM

GOAL! Chelsea 0-2 Bayern (Muller 12')

No surprise to see Bayern double their lead. Ribery flies past Azpilicueta down the Bayern left and he stands up a perfect cross for Muller - arriving with typically perfect timing - to volley home.

12:46PM

10 min

Chelsea really struggling to get hold of the ball at the moment.  Bayern well in control.

Chelsea
Chelsea

12:44PM

8 min

Bayern had been hoovering up possession in the minutes leading up the goal, and both Rafinha and Friedl had been finding plenty of space.

12:41PM

GOAL! Chelsea 0-1 Bayern (Rafinha 6')

A goal out of nothing as the right-back picks the ball up about 35 yards from goal, takes a few strides forward and pings a fairly speculative effort that isn't hit with too much power but it evades Courtois and goes in off the post.

12:40PM

5 min

The Bayern full-backs Friedl and Rafinha each have a go at pinging a cross towards Lewandowski, but both are easily cleared by the Chelsea back three.

12:38PM

2 min

The pitch looks very slow and a bit bumpy, but Chelsea enjoy some early possession. Moses has a yard of space out wide but he doesn't really get his head up and ends up being crowded out as he tries to get his cross away.

12:36PM

Kick-off

We're under way...with the dulcet tones of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Ft. Ray Dalton's Can't Hold Us blaring out on the PA system.

12:34PM

Chelsea's kit

Blimey it's minimalist, hadn't clocked it until now.

Teams are out

It's a very humid evening in Singapore (7.30pm local time) as the players take to the pitch.

A reminder of the starting line-ups:

Chelsea: Courtois; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Cahill; Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso; Willian, Boga; Batshuayi.

Bayern: Starke; Rafinha, Martinez, Hummels, Friedl; Sanchez, Tolisso; James, Muller, Ribery; Lewandowski.

12:31PM

What to look out for today

Obviously Morata will be the main talking point - we're expecting him to come on for the last 20 minutes or so - but it will be interesting to see how Batshuayi gets on. He looked in great shape against Arsenal on Saturday as he scored twice, and will be pushing for a starting place in the Community Shield with Morata still settling in.

Meanwhile, the Danish defender Christensen, 21, and Ivorian midfielder Jeremie Boga, 20, have a chance to stake their claims to be part of the Chelsea squad this season.

12:23PM

Preview

Afternoon all. Following on from their 3-0 win over Premier League rivals Arsenal, Antonio Conte's men take on Bayern Munich in the International Champions Cup in Singapore (KO 12.35pm).

Bayern manager Carlo Ancelotti was the last Chelsea manager to lead the Stamford Bridge side to the Premier League title and will look to perform well against his former club.

The German champions suffered a heavy 4-0 loss to AC Milan on Saturday and suffered defeat on penalties to Arsenal in Beijing last Thursday.

Chelsea's tour of the Far East, however, hasn't exactly gone to plan after winger Kenedy was sent back to the UK for inappropriate posts made on social media.

Chelsea had previously issued an apology after admitting Instagram posts by Kenedy had caused "great offence and hurt the feelings of the people of China."

The 21-year-old Brazilian posted the messages ahead of the friendly against Arsenal at the Bird's Nest in Beijing on Saturday and was jeered during Chelsea's 3-0 win.

He put two videos on Instagram, one with a caption which translated as "F*** you China" and another of a security guard asleep which was tagged: "Wake up China. You idiot."

Chinese fans accused Kenedy of xenophobia and racism, leading to an apology from the player who quickly deleted the posts.

"Hello my friends, just wanna say sorry if someone was sad because I used the expression "porra", was no racism, just an expression...big hug," he wrote after the game against Arsenal.

The incident could also leave Kenedy's future at Stamford Bridge in jeopardy.
