Cheltenham pub unveils exciting new look as venue reopens to customers
A Cheltenham pub has officially reopened to customers after undergoing an extensive nine week refurbishment. Harry Cook Free House just off Montpellier Walk in the town centre has shared an exciting new look to give those looking for a food and drink option something fresh.
The pub has been given a facelift both inside and out while keeping its traditional look and feel and is now ready to welcome guests. The Harry Cook Free House is set inside an iconic building that has been around since 1836 and the pub itself is renowned for its five statues, similar to the Venus de Milo, all of which will be staying.
Guests can tuck into a range of dishes including chicken and bacon burgers, seafood linguine and beer battered fish and chips. Steak nights are also a regular occurrence where guests can enjoy succulent steaks and delicious wines.

Along with the new food menu, guests will also be greeted with an extensive drinks’ menu, boasting a wide selection of craft beers, ciders and new to the menu – cocktails. Following the extensive refurbishment and significant investment made at the pub, six new jobs have been created for the community, with the team now ready to pour pints and serve delicious food to guests.
It has opened in time for the Cheltenham Literature Festival which starts this week. Harry Cook opened in 2014, replacing O'Neill's.
