Cherry picker driver in Royal Stoke after machinery tumbles off lorry outside B&M

A cherry picker driver was taken to hospital after the vehicle fell from a lorry. A man suffered injuries when the machinery toppled on to its side as he reversed off the truck close to B&M in Leek.

Staffordshire Police have now issued a statement on the incident which unfolded in Barnfield Road, shortly before 1pm on Monday, January 6.

A force spokesman said: "We were called to Barnfield Road, Leek, just after 12.50pm on Monday, January 6, following reports that a cherry picker had fallen onto its side while it was being driven off a lorry. The driver of the cherry picker was taken to hospital. His condition is described as stable at this time."
