Cheryl and Liam Payne's favourite baby names revealed

Cheryl and Liam Payne have selected their favourite baby names.

The Girls Aloud singer is believed to be expecting the One Direction star’s baby, even though the pair are yet to confirm the news, and she has previously admitted to being a big fan of the name Alfie.

Speaking to GQ magazine in 2012, she said: “Of course I’ve thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy.”

The 33-year-old star also admitted she was born to be a mother.

She added: “I love kids, I’m obsessed with babies. I know that’s what I was put on the earth to do – to be a mother.”

But in the same year Liam, 23, also revealed he had been thinking about baby names and seemed fairly certain on what he wanted to call his first kid.

He told Hits Radio at the time: “I like the name Taylor. Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl.

“That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children.”

Alfie currently heads the betting with bookmaker William Hill pricing the name up at 7/1 for Cheryl and Liam to give their baby that moniker.

Other favourites include Harry (10/1), James (14/1) and Joan, the name of Cheryl’s mother, at 16/1.

One of the most unlikely names for the child has to be Jean-Bernard, the name of the brunette beauty’s ex-husband, who is only 16/1, or Ashley, the moniker of her first hubby Ashley Cole, at 25/1.
