Yahoo News Cheryl finding Liam split "tough", says Kimberley Walsh
Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh has opened up about Cheryl Tweedy's struggle since splitting with Liam Payne.
Her ex-bandmate has been friends with the former X Factor host for years and has been enjoying their kids becoming pals, as well.
Speaking to Loose Women's panel, she explained: "It's obviously tough, but she's doing really well, we've both got young boys the same age. We get together all the time.
"I was there last week, we had a barbecue, and just seeing the kids playing together and this new phase in our live, it's just so lovely."
Liam and Cheryl both posted similar social media post back at the start of July, Liam's read: "Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."

Kimberley also spoke about why Girls Aloud decided to call it quits, as she said: "Well, to be honest, I've actually been rehearsing this whole week for a one-woman show, like a cabaret show.
"It was kind of because I was feeling a little bit nostalgic and I really wanted to be back on stage again, I sort of missed the West End, but I don't want those full-on hours.
"It was not even that we got fed up, we'd been together 15 years, I wanted a family.
"It's true, it's a long time – you're constantly doing that album-tour-album-tour cycle. It just felt like we were still at the top and it just felt like the right time to leave it for now."
Meanwhile, another Girls Aloud alum, Nicola Roberts, has slated the media for its treatment of Cheryl following her split from Liam.
Speaking on Loose Women, Nicola said: "[Cheryl is] good. She's okay. I actually think what's been interesting this week is how the misogyny through the media has played out.
"There's been a couple of articles saying, 'Why can't she hold a man down?' and things like that, and it's just like – why can't a man hold her down, you know?
"But she's on the mend. She's good."
