Cheryl hides tummy at fan signing session

It’s not every day a humble piece of furniture makes the headlines, but Cheryl’s choice of table placement during an autograph signing session has sent the tabloids wild with excitement.

Photos have emerged of the 33-year-old singer – widely believed to be pregnant with boyfriend Liam Payne’s baby – going to extreme lengths to avoid her tummy being spotted as she greeted fans at the Sanderson Hotel.

Cheryl stayed seated at all times behind a strategically-placed table, and pulled a variety of awkward and unnatural-looking poses in a bid to prevent her belly being snapped.

She also went through a similar routine at a Boots signing for her new fragrance launch last month, so it can only mean one thing, can’t it?

There you go - irrefutable proof.

Still, there is one thing the former X Factor judge has confirmed in the last few days, though. Pop fans can finally rest assured that the Geordie songstress will be returning to the charts in the near future.

Cheryl’s singing career has slumped somewhat, and her last album, Only Human, only managed to scrape to No. 7 in the charts.

But when a fan cheekily mentioned that they were worried they may never, ever hear new Chezzer tunes again (imagine!), she took to Twitter to issue a response.

“Don’t be,” she said, alongside a winking emoji.

Well thank heavens for that, eh? Now, can you ask her if she’s got a bun in the oven too, please?
