Cheryl on raising baby Bear without a nanny: 'You don't have one second to yourself'

Cheryl has remained largely quiet on life as a mother since welcoming her first son, baby Bear, in March of this year, but now the former X Factor judge has offered an insight into how she is adapting to motherhood.

Cheryl and her boyfriend, One Direction’s Liam Payne, refused to get a nanny to help them with their bundle of joy, and now Cheryl has confessed that looking after Bear has forced her health and beauty regime to take a backseat over the last few months.

Speaking candidly in an interview with Vogue magazine, Cheryl shared: “Honestly, for the past few months I haven’t had a beauty regime.

“Because you get up, you’re with the baby, he naps maybe two or three times a day and in that time that he’s napping you’re doing all the other stuff that needs to be done, like washing up and cleaning his clothes.”

The singer went on to confess that even though she has been “lucky” that Bear has slept for seven hours in the night since he was seven weeks old, she and Liam haven’t had any time to themselves, adding: “It’s just me, Liam and the baby rocking around 24/7, so you don’t have one second to yourself really, especially not in that first three months.”

As well as a lack of sleep and a negative impact on her beauty regime, Cheryl also explained the other ways that her life has changed since welcoming her son; admitting that her “views on everything have changed”.

She explained: “Firstly you see the fear in everything, like sharp edges!

“Your whole being changes because it’s not about you anymore. If something happens to you it doesn’t matter as much but if it happened to your child, the impact would be severe.”

Cheryl’s comments come just over a month after she made her return to the public eye, with the singer wowing her fans in September when she showed off her toned tummy just six months after giving birth at a charity football match.
