Cheryl will reportedly attend the Brit Awards to watch Liam Payne perform with Rita Ora, despite rumours that they have split.

The pop star is expected to be in the audience at Wednesday night’s annual ceremony, where Payne will take to the stage to sing raunchy Fifty Shades song, For You.

While the former Girls Aloud star isn’t listed to attend the event, she will put in a surprise appearance ahead of her musical comeback later this year, sources told Sun Online.

Payne, who is father to Cheryl’s son Bear, confirmed that he will performing alongside Ora during a Q&A with the singer on Tuesday.

During a chat about their hit new single, Ora asked Payne: “Hey Liam Payne, fancy joining me on stage at The Brits 2018?”

Cheryl commented on rumours that her relationship was on the rocks as she launched her Cheryl’s Trust Centre in Newcastle on Tuesday.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast, she was asked if she gets “frustrated” by the interest in her relationship when she is trying to raise awareness for a good cause.

“No it doesn’t bother me at all because my focus is solely on this,” she said. “I’ve waited seven years to be here. None of that matters. That’s what’s important to me.”

Payne’s travelling is said to be the reason for the alleged strain in their relationship, with the singer spending most of the past six months on the road to promote his new music.

“There’s a big age gap between them. If they didn’t have Bear then they would have most likely split up by now,” a source told the Sun.

“But they love their son. And they do care for each other so it’s now a matter of seeing if there’s a final way forward to try and make it work.”
