Cheryl’s comeback single Love Made Me Do It has already dropped out of Spotify's top 200.

The former Girls Aloud star released her first track in four years on Friday after taking a break from music for her “sanity”.

But the song has already suffered a drop in streaming after falling out of Spotify’s official chart after only a couple of days.

Love Made Me Do It managed 98,233 streams to take number 68 on the chart on Friday.

But by Saturday, the single was languishing at 161 with 52,443 streams before disappearing from the list altogether on Sunday.

Music streams, however, are only a small part of the Official Charts calculation with an artist needing 1,000 paid user streams or 600 free subscription streams to equal one sale.

According to the Official Charts, the Geordie singer, 35, is set to make the Top 10 new entries and is currently sitting at number 8.

Cheryl’s long-awaited musical comeback included some candid lyrics referring to her past high-profile relationships.

However, she denied that the song was about any of her ex’s in particular, slamming critics for suggesting her “fall in love with every f*****” lyric was about Liam Payne.

Cheryl and Payne started dating in 2016 before calling time on their relationship in June. They have a son together, Bear, born in March 2017.

He congratulated her on her musical comeback, telling fans he can't wait for them to hear the rest of her album.
