Yesterday it was widely reported that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is taking legal action to prevent the publication of a photograph of herself at the British Fashion Awards in the presence of, what looks like, a ‘white substance’.
In the image, the very vocally ‘anti-drugs’ X Factor judge looks totally oblivious to the substance, with there being no indication that she was involved in any form of drug taking.
Understandably, the star was left outraged when the photo was published online by a fashion journalist alongside the caption: ‘Sadness in her eyes’, a homage to Kay Burley’s notorious Paris attack tweet.
Now Cheryl has seemingly referenced the entire debacle over on her Instagram page, posting a photo of a sassy looking President Obama on the phone, writing alongside the image: “On the phone to my lawyer like… #tryme #oohwatchmewatchme
Ho, we love it when Cheryl gets all sassy and #GirlPower on us.
She ignored the drama yesterday morning when she visited her fellow X Factor judge, Nick Grimshaw, at the Radio 1 Breakfast Show alongside her remaining acts, 4th Impact and Reggie ‘n’ Bollie.
She also live-tweeted part of last night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity, bigging up fellow Geordie lass, Vicky Pattison, but it looks as though she couldn’t bite her tongue any longer.
We just love that she chose to reference the scandal in the best possible way.
