Cheshire driver hits 140mph fleeing police on M6 and then runs out of petrol
A driver from Cheshire hit speeds of 140mph in an M6 police chase - before running out of petrol. Lewis Moore refused to stop in his Ford Fiesta ST for police near junction 14 for Stafford North and used the hard shoulder to undertake vehicles.
But the pursuit came to an end near junction 16 for Stoke-on-Trent North when the 34-year-old driver Neston ran out of petrol.
Now Moore has been jailed for 24 weeks after admitting dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving without a licence or insurance when he appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre. He has also been handed a 14-month driving ban.
