Cheshire homeowner catches burglars stealing car keys from house
A Northwich resident caught two burglars as they stole car keys from the house and attempted to make off with the homeowner's car. Police are now appealing for witnesses and video footage following the burglary which happened in the Northwich village of Weaverham.
At around 12.30am on Tuesday, November 5, two unknown offenders forced entry into an address on Longmeadow and stole the keys to a high-powered vehicle which was parked outside the house. As the pair were in the process of stealing the car they were disturbed by the homeowner and fled the scene empty handed.
The pair ran off on foot, before getting into another vehicle which was parked further down Longmeadow, they then drove off onto Forest Street, travelling towards the A49.
