Chick-fil-A sets sights on Liverpool as UK plans shared
American-based fast food chain Chick-fil-A has revealed plans to open a restaurant in Liverpool. The Atlanta company says it is in "the process of selecting operators" for four UK cities and aims to open five restaurants within two years.
The UK cities targeted are London, Leeds, Belfast and Liverpool. The group plans to invest £80m in the UK market over the next decade and attract franchise partners to its owner-operated model.
Chief International Officer at Chick-fil-A, Inc, Anita Costello said: "Serving communities is at the heart of everything we do, and we look forward to bringing Chick-fil-A’s delicious food and signature hospitality to Belfast, Leeds, Liverpool and London, and continuing our long-term investment in the UK.

"From job creation to supporting local causes, we are excited about the positive impact our first restaurants will have in the communities they serve."
The group's initial expansion into the UK will create around 400 new jobs at licensed and franchised restaurants. Chick-fil-A restaurants plan to serve chicken sourced from the UK as well as 100% free range eggs raised on farms with welfare certification.
Chick-fil-A is currently accepting expressions of interest for individuals who are interested in becoming an independent Chick-fil-A franchise Owner-Operator in the UK. Learn more here.
