CBS’ broadcast of the Kansas City Chiefs’ 17-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon averaged an audience of nearly 55.5 million total viewers — up 17% versus last year’s comparable window to stand as the most-watched AFC Championship game ever.
At its peak, the Chiefs/Ravens match-up reached north of 64 million viewers, CBS Sports reports.

Come Sunday evening, Fox’s airing of the San Francisco 49ers’ 34-31 win over the Detroit Lions averaged just shy of 57 million total viewers, up 7% from last year’s comparable window and marking the largest audience for an NFC Championship on Fox since 2012.
At its peak, the 49ers/Lions game reached nearly 59 million viewers, per Fox Sports.
Leading out of that well-watched NFC Championship match, the Season 3 premiere of Fox’s Next Level Chef retained 7.2 million total viewers (and a 2.1 demo rating), making it television’s most-watched and highest-rated unscripted series telecast since Next Level Chef‘s own post-Super Bowl Season 2 premiere last year.
