Arne Slot will be hoping Liverpool can pick up from where they left off when Liverpool face Bournemouth this weekend. The Reds enjoyed a 3-1 win over AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night and, with little time to rest, they've turned their attention to the Cherries.

Liverpool will welcome Andoni Iraola's side to Anfield on Saturday afternoon as they look to return to winning ways in the Premier League. Last weekend, the Reds suffered a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on home soil – so there's been a lot to work on at Kirkby.

Eager to secure three points, Slot has been putting his players through their paces. So, with that being said, the ECHO has spotted four things you might have missed in training as Liverpool gear up to face Bournemouth.

Chiesa enjoys Slot moment

Federico Chiesa enjoyed a nice moment with Liverpool manager Slot during one particular drill. The Italy international, who left Juventus to join Liverpool late into the summer transfer window, high-fived his new head coach in what appeared to be a race with a teammate. The new Reds forward appears to be settling into his new surroundings nice and quickly and after his first appearance in the late stages of the Champions League win over AC Milan, could be set for his first full start at the weekend.

Salah and Nunez in high spirits

Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez, in particular, were in high spirits at the AXA Training Centre. The former struggled to impress last weekend, meanwhile, the latter continues to wait for his first start this season.

In the few hours between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, Nunez changed his Instagram account from public to private, stopping anyone that doesn't follow him from accessing his page. The Uruguay international was heavily linked with a move from Anfield in the summer, but a deal failed to materialise.

Interestingly, at the height of speculation, he removed images of himself playing for the Reds and his Instagram account only showed images of him turning out for Benfica and his country – albeit he was still donning a Liverpool shirt in his profile picture. Nunez was all smiles during training, however, hinting he's perfectly happy at the club.

Jones and Gakpo bromance

Cody Gakpo was spotted with his arm around Curtis Jones during a session in the gym. The former was given his first start of the campaign on Tuesday night when Liverpool defeated AC Milan, while the latter has suffered with injury and enjoyed a brief cameo off the bench against Forest.

Slot and Gomez in conversation

Sot and Gomez were spotted enjoying a chat. The 27-year-old defender is another player who's struggled to force himself into the new head coach's first-team so far this season, so he'll be hoping to feature against Bournemouth. Gomez made his first appearance of the season on Tuesday evening, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final 10 minutes or so.

Conor Bradley has looked bright, meanwhile Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate have been solid at the back, so minutes could be hard to come by for the Charlton Atheltic academy graduate.

Alisson goes for a new look

Liverpool's first-choice goalkeeper Alisson marked the win over AC Milan on Tuesday by changing up his look a little bit. The Brazilian shotstopper has shaved his iconic beard off, which Alexis Mac Allister certainly found amusing as the squad headed out for a team picture.

With three points up for grabs at the weekend, Alisson will be hoping to help Liverpool get back to winning ways in the Premier League by keeping a clean sheet.
