Child hit by car while riding bike on pelican crossing in seaside town
A child was hit by a car while on a pelican crossing in a seaside village. The child was crossing the road on their push bike in Tywyn, Gwynedd, this morning.
Police say that they were in a collision with a grey car at around 9am. The crossing is near the community hospital in the village.
Officers are now appealing for information with the support of the child's family.

North Wales Police said: "We are appealing for information following a Road Traffic Collision in Tywyn on Wednesday the 8th of January 2025. Approximately 0900hrs this morning there was a collision involving a Grey Vehicle and a child crossing the road on their push bike at the pelican crossing near Tywyn Memorial Hospital.
"Anyone with information or dashcam footage around the time of the collision should contact the Police via our website or by calling 101 quoting reference (C003341)."
Police have confirmed no serious injuries were sustained.
