Child injured at East Renfrewshire primary school as emergency services called

Emergency services were called to an East Renfrewshire primary school Thursday afternoon after a child was injured.

East Renfrewshire Council confirmed emergency services were called to Giffnock Primary School Thursday afternoon following the incident. The condition of the child is not yet known.

The council said it would "continue to work closely with the school" and "provide necessary support" following the incident.

An East Renfrewshire Council spokesperson said: “A child was injured at Giffnock Primary this afternoon and emergency services were called. Following this incident, the council will continue to work closely with the school to provide necessary support.”

Glasgow Live has approached Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service for more information.
