Children Cheer for Firefighters in California as Mexican Teams Join Effort to Control Wildfires

Community members including crowds of cheering children came out in Springville, California, on September 26 to show their support for firefighters tackling the extensive SQF Complex wildfire.

This video from Tulare County Fire Department shows crowds cheering and waving flags as fire vehicles pass by.

“Thank you to the community of Springville who came out tonight to show support to the firefighters working on the SQF Complex,” authorities wrote.

On September 26, local firefighters working the SQF Complex were joined by teams from Mexico, ABC reported.

“The Mexican crews that are coming in are needed. The resources are stretched, the resources are tired, they’ve been at it a long time this summer,” Mark Vosburgh, SQF Complex Public Information Officer, told reporters. Credit: Tulare County Fire Department via Storyful
