Children attempted to keep cool in Moralzarzal, Spain, on Saturday, June 18, amid the country’s first heatwave of the summer.

The heatwave was tied with the summer of 1981 as the earliest to hit the country during the meteorological summer, El Pais reported. Temperatures in some areas reached above 40°C (104°F
).
