Children 'left shaken' after being 'approached by unknown men' in Leicester
"Unknown men" have reportedly approached multiple children in Leicester, according to police. Investigations are underway into the incidents which left the children "shaken".
The first alleged incident involved a man trying to get two boys to come over to his vehicle in The Fairway, just off Leicester's Saffron Lane, on Friday, October 25. The second incident, reported to have taken place on Friday, November 1, reportedly saw a man get out of his car before walking towards a girl who was sitting on a bench in Pasley Road, Eyres Monsell.
The girl then ran to her friends who were nearby. No injuries have been reported in either incident, with police not currently treating them as linked. Investigations are ongoing.

Sergeant Nathan Birkin, deputy commander for South Leicester, said: “We are currently making enquiries after receiving two reports of children being approached by unknown men in the areas of Saffron Lane and Eyres Monsell.
“On neither occasion have the children reported being physically handled but have understandably been left shaken. While the investigations remain ongoing, we are not currently treating these incidents as linked. I understand these types of incidents can be worrying and local officers are currently liaising with all schools in the area to offer reassurance but to also ensure any concerns or information that could assist with our enquiries is provided to us.”
