The Otodo-Gbame area in Lagos, Nigeria, was demolished and more than 4700 people were displaced by the police on March 17, according to reports.
Claiming the action was a violation of a January court order, Amnesty International reported that police had used gunfire and tear gas while evicting residents.
These videos, released by the Justice & Empowerment Initiatives Organization, show bulldozers razing shacks. In one, a child watches the demolition. Credit: Twitter/JEI via Storyful
