Chilling Adventures of Sabrina - the spooky take on the classic Archie Comics series – drops for a third series TODAY, and fans are dying to know what happens next.

The Netflix show, which began airing in 2018, follows the spooky happenings of Sabrina Spellman (played by Mad Men's Kiernan Shipka), a half-witch-half-mortal teenager.

Much like the popular '90s series (which starred Melissa Joan Hart) the show features characters such as Harvey Kinkle, Hilda Spellman, Zelda Spellman and Salem Saberhagen (though Salem doesn't talk in the Netflix remake).

But what can we expect from the third series? Here is everything you need to know...

When is the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 3 released on Netflix?

Season 3 arrives on the streaming service TODAY (Friday, January 24).

UK fans can tune in from 8am, when the show drops on Netflix.

Who is in the cast with Kiernan Shipka?

Gavin Leatherwood and Lachlan Watson, who play Nick Scratch and Theo, have been promoted to cast regulars for series three and four, as confirmed by Netflix’s See What’s Next Twitter account.

Ross Lynch (Harvey), Michelle Gomez (Madame Satan), Miranda Otto (Zelda), Lucy Davis (Hilda) and Chance Perdomo (Ambrose) will also return.

Tati Gabrielle (Prudence), Jazz Sinclair (Roz), Adeline Rudolph (Agatha), and Abigail Cowen (Dorcas) will also all reprise their roles. Michelle Gomez will star as (Madam Satan).

What happened in season 2?

We last left the cast with Sabrina planning to save her boyfriend Nick by heading to Hell, after his body was imprisoned by the Dark Lord.

Elsewhere, Ambrose and Prudence are intent on hunting down Father Blackwood, and Zelda is the interim leader of the Church of Night.

A fairly unusual choice for a trailer, it featured Shipka singing as Sabrina as she prepares to head “Straight to hell” to save Nick.
