An artist in China has built a life-size Mercedes-Benz car entirely out of bricks.

Dai Yun, from Xi'an in north-west China created the sculpture for the Red Town Creative Park in Shanghai.

The car was made with red brick, cement, steel and other materials and built according to the original proportion of a real Mercedes-Benz.

The elaborate artwork not only shows the extreme detail of the exterior of the car, but also includes interior chairs, a steering wheel, and gears.

This isn't the first time Dai Yun has been commissioned to build such a realistic sculpture of a car; in 2011 he built a 6.5 ton brick BMW that he claimed was worth 600,000 Yuan (£60,000).

However, passers-by weren't convinced by the brick BMW's price tag.

One commented: "It's just a pile of bricks and cements. How could it be possible that it's worth 600,000 Yuan."
