Chinese firefighters rescue little egret tangled mid-air in fishing line

Firefighters rescued a little egret tangled mid-air in a fishing line in southwest China. Video filmed in the city of Zunyi in Guizhou Province on September 6 shows a fireman named Xu Shijun tied by safety ropes being lifted up by a crane towards the stranded bird. Xu then threw a rope to hook the fishing tread tangled around the little egret and pulled it back to the shore. After the little egret was rescued, firemen then cut the threads on its body before sending it to a local zoo for further treatment. A zoo employee said the bird's wings were injured and it was frightened. They will return it back to nature after it recovers. The video was provided by local media with permission.
