A company named Nongfu Spring called the police to investigate after a woman found maggots floating in a bottle of water in central China. In the video, shot in the city of Wuhan in Hubei Province on October 19, a woman showed the maggots and sediment in an unopened bottle of water to the camera. Nongfu Spring has sent quality control personnel to check. Nongfu Spring said the production process of their bottled water is continuous production. All the source water is strictly filtered and sterilised as well as the packaging containers. So it is "impossible" to have worm eggs entering the water during the production or manufacturing process. They have also called the police to deal with the case.
