Chinese Grand Prix: UK start time, date, prediction, TV schedule, standings, calendar and betting odds – F1 preview

Lewis Hamilton will start the Chinese on pole ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who was victorious in the first race of the 2017 Formula One season.

The German, who maintained an average speed of over 215mph in Australia, finished the race nearly ten seconds faster than last year’s championship runner-up.

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff admitted after the race that Ferrari’s speed had taken his team by surprise, but who come out on top this weekend in China?

DATE, TIME AND VENUE (all times UK)

The race will begin at 7am at the Shanghai International Circuit on Sunday April 9.

First practice 3am (Friday), second practice 7am (Friday), third practice 5am (Saturday), qualifying 8am (Saturday).

IS IT ON TV?

The race will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1, with coverage starting at 5.30am on Sunday.

Sky Q customers will be able to watch the race in Ultra HD for the first time.
