New Chinese lifestyle brand to open at Cabot Circus next month
A new lifestyle brand is set to open in Bristol next month. Miniso, a Chinese brand which stocks well-known brands, furniture and household goods, will be opening a new branch at Cabot Circus, the first in the southwest.
The store, whose closest branch currently is in Cardiff, is known for stocking Sanrio goods such as Hello Kitty, as well as Disney, Pokémon and blind boxes. The brand is especially popular with young people.
The brand has over 6,000 stores worldwide in more than 100 countries. The store in Broadmead would be the 30th store in the UK.

It is understood that the store is set to open in early October, but that could be subject to change. Signage advertising the new store, which will be located next to Sunnamusk on Brigstowe Street, has recently been spotted within the shopping centre.
Miniso had teased the opening of the store in Cabot Circus via an Instagram post. The post, which asked the audience to guess the location, hinted that the new store would be located in the home city of Aardman Animations.
It is the latest brand to come to Cabot Circus after plans to “evolve the shopping experience” was established earlier this year. One of the aims of the shopping centre is to attract brands which would become a regional first.
Cabot Circus recently saw the loss of House of Fraser, as it welcomes in Marks & Spencer next year. Elsewhere, a new branch of Krispy Kreme will open at College Green.
