Mother luckily escapes injury as baby's cry brings her out of kitchen seconds before explosion

A mother luckily escaped death as her baby's cry brought her out of the kitchen seconds before an explosion in southern China.

Video shot in the city of Zhanjiang in Guangdong Province on December 3 shows a mother walking out of the kitchen as her son was crying.

Liquefied gas suddenly exploded in the kitchen less than ten seconds after she walked out.

Zhong said the gas leaked out as the valve was not turned off properly.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported.
