According to the website Heat Street a disgruntled Top Gear employee is gearing up to lift the lid on claims that the Radio 2 DJ is a nightmare to work with.

“Evans worked with this lady for two years and I’ve read a statement by her that certainly reflects her anger,” the website says.

“She has made no attempt to hide from friends her recollections of that time and is now weighing up whether to discuss them publicly.”

So far, it’s remained unclear what exactly the claims against Chris are.

Earlier this week rumours began to circulate that the presenter was garnering a reputation worse than that of his predecessor Jeremy Clarkson.

It’s believed that juggling the show with his duties at Radio 2 are starting to take a toll on Chirs, leaving him tired, grumpy and extremely difficult to work with.

However, Mark Linsey, Director of BBC Studios and Bob Shennan, Controller of Radio 2, insists that this is all just hear say, telling the Mirror:

“The assertion that Chris Evans’ behaviour at Radio 2 since beginning work at Top Gear has been in any way below BBC acceptable levels is completely untrue,” her said, adding:

“Since taking on Top Gear alongside his Radio 2 breakfast show, Chris has displayed even greater commitment and professionalism. He remains a team player, a huge asset to the BBC and continues to show outstanding leadership in all he does on Radio, Television or for Children in Need.”
