Chris McCausland's Strictly Come Dancing 'fate sealed' as star claims bosses 'want him out'
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Vanessa Fetlz has claimed Chris McCausland’s “fate is sealed” and show bosses “want him out”. Vanessa, who took part in the show 11 years ago, has questioned whether the Samba-thon was “fair” on Chris.
The Liverpool-born comedian and partner Dianne Buswell were eliminated first from the Samba-thon - which saw every couple dancing at the same time. But he went through as EastEnders actor Jamie Borthwick was eliminated on Sunday night.
Fans have already criticised the Samba-thon as being “unfair” on Chris, who is Strictly’s first blind contestant. Speaking after the show, the comedian wrote: “I was really proud of our dance on Saturday, and as for the Sambathon…[zipped-mouth emoji] ….Well thank you so much for all of your votes.”
Vanessa also believes the erratic nature and packed dancefloor for the Samba-thon was unfair on Chris and Dianne. On her YouTube channel, she said: “Was it fair to put them in this context?
“Was it fair or was it just a way of giving Chris the fewest points and moving him down the leaderboard and saying without saying ‘goodbye, sayonara, farewell’. Because I think that Samba-thon was unfair to Chris and Dianne.

“I did not like it, as I saw it happening I thought ‘this is not a level playing field here’. This is not fair, this is not right they have introduced this.
“I reckon it’s because they want to say goodbye to Chris and I’ll tell you this, I don’t want to. I don’t want to say goodbye to Chris ever.”
Vanessa concluded by saying she would like to see Chris and Dianne winning the competition. She paid tribute to the comedian for being “funny” and a “wonderful dancer”.
Chris and Dianne came joint-second from bottom on the leaderboard this week along with Jamie and his partner Michelle Tsiakkas. However, former The Only Way is Essex star Pete Wicks and professional Jowita Przystał came last.
Jamie and Michelle faced Olympian Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe in the dreaded dance-off. After being eliminated the 30-year-old praised the “magic” of the show.
He added: “Not just everyone who you see in front of the camera, these four here (the judges), but everyone who works on this show, I have such a good bond and relationship with and that’s what made me want to do this show, it’s the people, not what I’m doing. I’ve had the best time.”
