Chris O'Dowd had "couple too many" before The Last Leg
The IT Crowd's Chris O'Dowd has joked that he had a "couple too many" after he appeared, well, pissed on The Last Leg.
Posting a link to a clip about 'cheese tea', Chris wrote on Twitter: "I may have had a couple too many of these last night."

And, in response to a fan asking how he ended up so intoxicated on TV, Chris said: "I'm genuinely not sure. Didn't feel like a drank a bunch, but I went to the studio from the gym and skipped dinner."

I’m genuinely not sure. Didn’t feel like a drank a bunch, but I went to the studio from the gym and skipped dinner. Unwise, in retrospect.

Still, it could've been MUCH worse. (Dawn O'Porter heaves a sigh of relief.)
Chris also joked that he "wasn't doing meth on bbc breakfast" when another Twitter user said his inebriated state on TV was "embarrassing" and "distasteful".
"I am a little embarrassed to be honest," O'Dowd replied. "But to keep things in perspective, it's a tipsy comedian on a late night chat show on Channel 4. I wasn't doing meth on bbc breakfast. But thanks for your concern, genuinely."

The Last Leg host Adam Hills later tweeted an altered entry on O'Dowd's Wikipedia page, which described his role on the show as 'Alcohol Awareness Ambassador'.

Earlier this year, presumably when he wasn't tanked, O'Dowd confirmed a major IT Crowd fan theory about Roy & Moss's actual job roles.
Last year, it was revealed that The IT Crowd is set for another US remake after two failed attempts, but this time, creator Graham Linehan is on board.
