Chris Pine Reveals He Tried To Do Stand-Up Comedy

Chris Pine has revealed that he once tried his hand at stand-up comedy, but that it wasn’t exactly his forte.

Well, if you never try, you never know.

Chris recalled the story during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, explaining that he once put together a five minute set at the Williamstown Theatre Festival just outside New York, where Lewis Black was in residence at the time.

Describing it as ‘the closest he’s come to feeling naked on stage’, the actor revealed that he based his comedy routine on ‘what parents make you do when you don’t want to do whatever it is’.

One experience he drew on, for example, was a summer camp he went on, where he was only allowed to shower every three days - with a garden hose.

He also had a bit about a squirrel infestation, how he hunted them and how they were actually sleeping outside, not in tents during the camp.

We wish we could’ve seen this comedy routine.
