Chrissy Teigen has blocked over 1 million Twitter accounts after being endlessly harassed by conspiracy theorists.
The cookbook author is frequently targeted by accounts - many of which appear to be bots - baselessly accusing her and husband John Legend of being part of a “paedo ring.”
In the wake of Ghislaine Maxwell’s arrest, Teigen, 34, has been on the receiving end of thousands of posts and having frequently attempted to live by the “don’t feed the trolls” mantra, she has decided to speak out on the matter.
“Every time I post food, some q anon loser asks if it contains baby. I'm honestly just gonna start posting things to drive them even more bats**t insane,” she tweeted on Tuesday night. “Also like, was I on the island, do I eat babies, or just put them on my skin, or am a pedo?? like I'm everything? pick a lane.” [sic]
The former model then quote-tweeted a series of the bizarre replies she received, including one which pointed out she recently deleted thousands of tweets.
“Some celebrities have been VERY busy since #GhislaineMaxwell was arrested,” it read. “@chrissyteigen why did you delete over 28,000 tweets yesterday??!!”
The tweet also falsely claimed Teigen’s name appeared on Jeffrey Epstein’s private flight logs.
Teigen replied: “I actually deleted 60,000 tweets because I cannot f**king STAND you idiots anymore and I’m worried for my family.
“Finding me talking about toddlers and tiaras in 2013 and thinking you’re some sort of f**king operative.”
Teigen later revealed that she has used a Twitter block chain, which allows users to block all the followers of a certain account in one click, to bar 1 million accounts from viewing and responding to her tweets.
“I have block chained over one million people, ONE MILLION people today and I am still flooded with sick psychopaths,” she wrote. “So please, spare me the ‘just ignore them, they’re just trolls’.”
Anyhow I’ll do my best to stop entertaining them. They have definitely been living for this and have zeroed in on ONLY me. Thank u to EVERYONE for helping me, in and out of the dm’s. People I’ve never met have been so, so kind and huge thank you to @yashar especially— chrissy teigen (@chrissyteigen)July 15, 2020

The false accusations against Teigen are linked to the Pizzagate conspiracy, a bizarre and also unfounded theory that Hilary Clinton is involved in an underground paedophilia group.
The theory was spread on sites including Twitter and 4Chan in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, despite being consistently disproved by law enforcement agencies, media outlets and official records.
