Have we mentioned lately how much we love Chrissy Teigen? In case not, here's a reminder: we LOVE Chrissy Teigen. Not only is the model, cook, presenter and Twitter icon famed for her hilarious observations and immense clapbacks, but for the honesty with which she speaks about everything from her body to life in the limelight.

Now, Chrissy (who is married to singer John Legend) has revealed that she's decided to have surgery to remove her breast implants – and of course, she did so in typically hilarious style via an Instagram post.

Accompanying a gorgeous black and white topless picture of herself (with her nipples strategically covered with heart emojis, because the social media app still hasn't gotten around to #FreeingTheNip), Chrissy shared how she came to the decision, basically saying she's kind of over the whole implant sitch. Importantly, she did so without body shaming those who may still want to opt in for surgery – as always, your body, your choice. Right?

"Hi hi! So I posted myself getting a covid test on the twitter, as I’m getting surgery soon," she wrote. "A lot of people are understandably curious (and nosey!) so I’ll just say it here: I’m getting my boobs out! They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it."

"I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort!" she continued, before adding that obviously she'll still have boobs after the surgery. "No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat."

I mean, she's not wrong is she? Can we start a petition to rename boobs "miraculous bags of fat", please?

Her post garnered lots of supportive comments, including one from Naomi Campbell who wrote, "Be safe @chrissyteigen ♥️🙏🏾 " and another from Milly Almodovar, a beauty expert who previously worked for Cosmo For Latinas, who said, "Have a safe surgery, babe. And thanks for always being so transparent! The world needs more of that."

We're sure that Chrissy will look just as stunning after her surgery and once again, applaud her for being so open on social media. Wishing her a speedy recovery afterwards too.
