Chrissy Teigen has reached out to UK fans to help educate her on UK politics – and everyone can relate.

The US star said her “brain cannot grasp” the current Brexit chaos, which today saw a no-confidence vote announced on Prime Minister Theresa May’s leadership.

She tweeted: “Okay one of my goals for 2019 is to understand UK politics. I read and read and try and learn but my brain cannot grasp it.”

Fans and celebrities including Myleene Klass and Sue Perkins sympathised, telling Teigen they can’t “grasp” it either.

Some suggested she steer clear, while others encouraged her to watch satirical political drama The Thick of It.

One tweeted: “Feel free to explain it to us Brits when you figure it out, cause we have no f****** clue what’s going on either.”

Another posted: “Imagine a huge disaster zone with a country about to set itself back decades and you should be about there.....”

Taking aim at President Donald Trump, Teigen replied: “Ok well I don’t have to imagine that too hard as I live in America.”

Others also attempted to explain the parliamentary mace, in particular an incident on Monday which saw MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle grab the object in protest at Brexit.

Teigen replied: “What’s the point of being able to take the giant gold thing if the lady with the sword can just stop you and make you put it back?”

Despite the help, Teigen struggled to get to grips with the system, tweeting: “This is harder to understand than super smash bros!!! LOL LOL THATS CALLED A CALLBACK IN SHOWBIZ GUYS lol lol lol.

A confidence vote against Mrs May was triggered after at least 48 MPs sent letters of no confidence over her Brexit deal. On Wednesday morning she vowed to fight on as PM and said she would contest her leadership "with everything I've got". The vote is scheduled to take place this evening.
