Christmas Carols at Barwhillanty will offer the perfect festive treat for Stewartry opera lovers

Stewartry opera fans are in for a special festive treat next month.

Blackbird Opera will be performing Christmas Carols at Barwhillanty House, Parton near Castle Douglas, on Saturday, December 21.

The concert will feature popular opera, classical highlights and audience sing-along carols, offering the perfect festive finale before Christmas Day.

Doors open at 6.30pm and attendees will be offered complimentary mulled wine and mince pies for the performance beginning at 7.30pm.

Take in the magnificent Christmas tree in the foyer before retiring to the drawing room for an enchanting evening of music.

There will also be a bar offering a range of drinks including a Barwhillanty Christmas Cocktail and mocktails also available, ready to get concert-goers into the festive spirit.

The lounge suit dress code promises to deliver Christmas sparkles and perhaps even a splash of velvet – an event not to be missed.
