Hull and Beverley are set to have their very own festive tipis serving seasonal treats in the run-up to Christmas and New Year.

Tipi Christmas will open its city centre tent to the masses this Thursday to help everyone get into the festive mood, offering everything you'd expect of the time of year - mulled wine, hot chocolate, and even a few spirits among the cosy fire pits.

It follows on from Tipi Summer with the festive version being set up for its opening at 4pm on November 7 in Hull, continuing until New Year's Eve. The Beverley tipi will open two weeks later, at Flemingate on November 21.

Manager of Tipi Events, Andy Marshall, said: "We are very excited to be opening Tipi Christmas in Hull for the first time, following a successful summer residency on Princes Dock Street."

The venue is dog-friendly and family-friendly for those wanting to get into the seasonal spirit.

To celebrate the launch of Tipi Christmas, the opening party weekend will have live bands on every day until Saturday. On Thursday at 6.30pm will be The Millionaires, Friday at 7.30pm will see The Embers take to the stage and at 8pm on Saturday The Reefs will be playing.

Opening times for Tipi Christmas are Sunday-Thursday, 11am-9pm, and Friday and Saturday, 11am-11pm.
