This Christmas, one of Surrey's "best places to live" is kicking off Christmas festivities in style with a large market and carol services. Muddy Stilettos rated Weybridge as one of Surrey's best places to live, praised for its cosmopolitan mix of restaurants and trendy cafes and shops.

Ask anyone who lives in Weybridge and they will tell you the town knows how to party, with vibrant pubs and seasonal festivals that last for days. The inclusive festivals see people of all age ranges and backgrounds in attendance with good music, foods and activities.

Festive lights are already being put up all over town, and shopfronts are adorned with garlands and wreaths. Hosted by St James' Church which is Weybridge's iconic Victorian place of worship called the Cathedral of the Thames Valley.

The church was built by John Loughborough Pearson, the architect of Truro Cathedral. It's made from sandstone and is grade two listed.

On the day of the festival around 50 Christmas stalls will descend on the town with a farmers market in the morning. Hot food vendors will be on site with delicious festive dishes and snacks like roasted chestnuts and of course, mulled wine.

Live music will take place in the church with Christmas carols, children's activities like face painting and a Santa's grotto. In the afternoon there will be a Christingle service followed by the Christmas light switch on.

After that more carols will take place with festive tunes to sing along with in the evening. It's also worth exploring the town, with Bachmann's being your go to for hot chocolate and cakes, with the alpine theme café.
